Hey there, I’m Taylor. I’m 30 years old living in Austin TX trying to make a difference in the world from my cozy 1 bedroom apartment. My journey to this point has been a roller coaster for sure. I’ve struggled a LOT. But life started to focus for me when I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 2 weeks before entering 2016.

I’m sure you’re wondering: Why should I bother? The answer is you don’t have to. But I know what it’s like to have your body flip the script and not really know where to start. I want to save you the time and energy it took me to figure half of this out. I want to share how I got to this point of sitting down and recording my journey to share with you.

I promise every experience I share is real. I’m here to let you know you’re not alone. Even though our situations, lifestyles, and friends may vary, we share a common goal: healing ourselves from diabetes.

So here we are. I hope we can get to know each other. I hope that everything that I have to share about living with this disease and striving to conquer it helps someone. I want to do it authentically and this podcast is my best way of doing it. I hope you’ll tune in.Together we can share quality information and perspective while providing support to each other too. It’s going to be messy, hard, enlightening, and fun too. I promise to be open, honest, and present.

This is only the beginning. This season is a deep dive into not only my journey but things I’ve learned along the way. I want you to know that you have the power to change.
