Oatmeal is one of my favorite things to eat for breakfast. Fun fact: I used to be allergic to oats when I was little. But I learned that I had outgrown my allergy when my cousin told me to try strawberries and cream oatmeal. I fell in love. Did I mention, I thought I was allergic to oatmeal? So I ate all kinds of oat cereals not realizing that I had outgrown my allergy for quite some time

When I was diagnosed, all cereals, porridges, grits, and of course, oatmeal seemed to be completely out of reach. There are too many carbs. If it's got fruit it's too much sugar. Instant oatmeal didn't keep me full unless I was eating 2 packets at a time. It was a vicious cycle. It was almost like I had to pretend I was allergic to it all over again.

But co-founders and friends Vanessa and Chara have different plans. They created Oat of the Ordinary to provide a healthy nutritious breakfast without the blood sugar spikes or crashes. with 11 grams of protein and only 3-4 grams of sugar, they've created easy-to-go oatmeal that's good for anyone including those living with diabetes like me.
